William Starling is an Editor-Filmmaker who grew up in Michigan, earning a BA in Political Science from the University of Michigan-Flint before moving to New York City. While there, he earned an MA in Media Studies from the New School, immersing himself in documentary and and independent film. He’s since worked as an Editor at Pixar, cutting custom animated commercials for brands such as McDonalds and Uber for Elemental, Lightyear and Turning Red while also doing work as an Additional Editor on projects like Inside Out 2 and Cars on the Road. Previously, he was an Assistant Editor on Rio 2, Peanuts, Ice Age: Collision Course, Ferdinand, and Spies in Disguise and an Editor on promotional pieces for all of those films. Additionally, he was Director and Editor of the 2018 documentary short, A Train to Rockaway, which played at film festivals in Europe and North America.

He lives with his wife and children in California.
